Loose ligaments while ebf

Ok.. During pregnancy I had mild issues with loose ligaments. Just sore hips. Psd, but since ebf bub,. Now 13 weeks, my ligaments seem like putty! Mostly in areas where I have old injuries. Iike an ankle which was broken now hurts lots and plantar fascitis on that side. and back ache if I sit too long. Last bub I found it went away eventually! Has anyone else found this?

I have found this too especially on my joints, knees in particular and the bones in my feet are sore too. My ds is over 15 months and still bf at night...hoping it will go away once we stop feeding.

I have heard that it's normal and heard a lot of women complain about this...if that's any help to pit your mind at rest.

Thank you! I'm glad I'm not alone.. After dd I was half expecting problems as my ankle was so sore during pg. this is annoying. It resolved with dd about 10 months. Fingers crossed this time! GrinFor now on I will just stretch and move slowly..

Same...I had spd during pregnancy but if anything it feels worse since I've been bfing. I had no idea about loose ligaments while bfing until I saw a physic. Now I'm not too worried about my aches and pains, its still not fun tho.

I think the stretchy ligament theory is outdated advice now www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk/practical-suggestions/feeding.html

Having smashed all my hip and pelvic ligaments in a car crash three years ago I found that unbalanced and weak core resulted in foot and leg pain. This came back post pregnancy. i had spd through pregnancy and now bf but it is getter better every day as I strengthen my core

CatsRule · 25/06/2013 20:54

When you say strengthen your core do you mean by doing something like a pilates type exercise?

Bringbring · 25/06/2013 21:00

Yep, Pilates or just wii fit balance board or plank.

Honestly had the most awful pain in my feet which went after I saw a physio and we worked on my core muscles.
