Fluconazole dose?

What is the correct dose of fluconazole for treating nipple thrush? HV refused to prescribe (gave clotrimazole cream which is not working) so going to the chemists today to buy over the counter as can't bear this pain any longer.

Also, can I buy daktarin gel over the counter for DC? Again HV refused to prescribe due to "choking risk" (??!). DC is 7 weeks.

You can buy Daktarin cream for your nips, and Daktarin gel fir baby over the counter.

Try the Daktarin creamon your nips, as Fluconazole in the dose it is required for ductal thrush, needs to be prescribed by a gp, as its a loading dose of 500mg one day, and then 100mg x2 for 2 wks as iirc.
