Milk supply question

Over the past 10 days I have switched my 8 wk old over to formula from breast due to ongoing feeding issues which is too long winded to go into here! However, I have been expressing about 1 feeds worth in the evening to give him in a bottle. My supply has gone right down very quickly which is good as I didn't want hurty boobs for too long!
However, I decided to try him again on the breast yesterday early morning, partly because I still haven't really put bf to bed and feel sad it didn't work out for longer and partly because it is simply easier thank making a bloody bottle up in the night!
I am happy to carry on all the other feeds as formula, but is it possible to bf feed him just once a day? He fed ok but was sleepy so not sure he really took much. He went back to sleep fine but was very hungry 2 hours later (normally 2.5-3 hours gap at that time). I am worried the milk is simply not there now an I made him go hungry for my benefit. If I kept up this feed as a bf will my supply adjust accordingly?

You can feed him once a day - go for it :)

Your supply will decrease, as one feed a day is not sufficient to keep a mininum supply going after just 8 weeks, but no need to worry you will let your baby go hungry.....at 8 weeks you will know when he needs more.

Speak to any of the helplines - this is well within their remit :)
