My DS is now 3 months old and I've been expressing daily since he was born and storing in the freezer

However my freezer is now completely full and i think i need to start throwing milk away Sad so wanted to get some advice

  • is my early breast milk still going to be ok to feed my DS or is it better to feed him more recent milk? I wonder whether the early milk has any added benefits that would be a shame to waste if I threw away?
  • when I feed him with a bottle would it be better to mix some of the oldest with some of the newest milk so he gets the right goodness?

Thank you

Oh my goodness! Please don't throw any away! Have you considered donating extra to mums who need it? Google human milk for human babies- there's always call outs on their Facebook page for mums needing extra.

In terms of using it, start with the oldest and work forwards in time. Wink
