Night nappy changes

Do you? I'm feeling guilty as DD smells fairly pooey but am having to wake her to feed every three hours atm after tongue tie snip and can't face waking her up any more by changing it as it will then be another hour or so before she will settle. Is this horribly neglectful? Doesn't seem to be bothering her.

I would as it might give her a rash. If you're (very) lucky she might sleep through it.

PoppyAmex · 14/06/2013 06:19

I would as I'd be worried about nappy rash (and the she wouldn't sleep well until it healed)

surroundedbyblondes · 14/06/2013 06:23

Even though it's a pain, I'd change it. I couldn't leave my DC in a pooey nappy. Sorry.

Ivvu6 · 14/06/2013 06:24

i only change it when she has done a poo and she has never had a nappie rash

Is baby formula or breast fed?
My 7 week old is BF and poos every couple of days.
If she's pooed I will change it if its a wee I will change at night if its really heavy.
Nappies are designed to hold small amounts of fluid and absorbs.
Mine never has had nappy rash, touch wood but if she did I would change more often and air her bottom.
Xxx

Oh well, terrible mum alert. I left it and she fell asleep again so I figured it wasn't bothering her. No rash. Sorry.
