2 year old milk monster

DS is 2 in a couple of weeks, and has always been a bit of a milk monster, but just recently he's seriously upped how much he's asking for it. It's easily every couple of hours during the day when I'm with him (which isn't every day as I work), often even more frequent. He had mostly stopped asking for milk if we were out and about but now even that doesn't seem to stop him! I do have a suspicion that perhaps his last 4 teeth are (very slowly) making an appearance, but I can't be sure.

I'm not looking to stop at all, but it really is exhausting to be constantly nagged for milk, and it does feel like an invasion of my body at times! Please tell me this is just a short phase?! Anyone been through similar at this age? I know there's not really any answers, I guess I'm just after moral support!

:-)

it was about this time i really wanted to quit feeding - i lasted another year tho Hmm

i also didn't enjoy the invasion - i found it very intrusive

YY been there. Twice.

I always found it easier just to let them have it because it was much more effort trying to distract or whatever.

I remember realising that if I cuddled ds1 and read to him instead of doing milk, it took about an hour for him to get to the chilled out state that nursing took him to in about 2 mins. It was a no brainer, but I totally understand how annoying it can be!!

Thank you both, always reassuring to know you're not alone! I'm completely in the path of least resistance camp too, weaning feels like it would be way too much hassle at the moment so it's likely a case of just grin and bear it. This too shall pass...
