Nearly 5mo old feeding changed

My nearly 5 month old DD who is mostly breastfed apart from a couple of bottles a week has changed a bit in the last 4/5 days. She was feeding about every 2.5 hrs all day and feeds twice in the night. She would have poo-ed once every 2/3 days. Now feeds seem to be closer together and she is more unsettled at night, lots of wind from the bottom end and poo-ing after each feed (one of which was green-ish).

Now what can I attribute this change to? Teeth? Or do I need to start thinking about spoon feeding? Or the heat? It's the starting on solids which I am thinking of but would ideally like to hold off for a few more weeks if I can.

Any advice much appreciated.

Really don't honk this is a sign of readiness for weaning. If dd has an unsettled tummy I can't imagine adding solids into the mix is going to help.

Sounds like she may have a bit of a tummy upset, its hard to tell on here though, how is she the rest of the time?

Thanks for the response JiltedJohnsJulie. You know I woke up this morning having the same thought about a tummy upset. She had a very unsettled night and fed a lot. She's fine otherwise, happy and smiling, able to amuse herself for short periods. Likes to be held a lot but this is not unusual! Smile She is just seeming to be wanting feeding every time I hold her though... But then if it's running through her maybe that's why but she doesn't dehydrated or upset in any other way.

Hope she feels better soon and you get some rest Smile
