Freezing milk

delilah88 · 02/06/2013 22:25

I want to freeze some milk for a week's time, but have a question:

When I express, can I save up all the milk from that day in the fridge then freeze it as a batch? I don't express much each time and so it would be better to bunch it up.

Would this be ok, or unhygienic?

Thanks.

It's fine as long as you make sure the milk is cold before you add it to the previously expressed milk.

So, you'd have 2 bottles on the go in the back of the fridge: one which you're going to freeze and another with the milk you've just expressed cooling down ready to be added to that bottle.
