My baby girl breastfed well until she was about 2 1/2 months, after this she completely stopped and refuses crying everytime i put her on, i've always done combined feeding due to a low birth weight of 4lb 7oz. I've tried everything to get her back on such as stopping formula for the day, but then she still wouldn't take, when i express nothing will come out with an electrical pump and a manual hand pump, i'm trying hand expressing & finding that very hard yet when i went to get measured for new bras i was told that my breasts are still swollen with milk yet it won't come out at all easily and its starting to get me down now, i've also tried fenugreek only to find it doesn't work. When i've mentioned to the doctors they're not bothered and i don't know what else to do because ideally i'd love my baby girl to keep having my milk i just need it to come out. I eat a healthy diet of plenty of fruit and veg.

Your diet will have very little affect on your milk, although it will help you to feel more healthy. Also, the amount you can express is no indication of how much milk you are producing zeddy, in fact there is nothing in your post to suggest that you have a low supply Smile

Is she refusing to bf completely? I think you need some RL help with this one? I'd ring one of the bfing helplines, have you got the numbers? Is there a bfing support group you could go to?

She does refuse completely, i'll find out about breast feeding support groups and go along, thank you :)

In that case I'd give one of the helplines a call this morning.

I think if you are going to try relactation you need the support of a local BFC. Have a look to see if there is a LLL group in your area. There will probably be BFCs from other organisations in your area too.

If you feel comfortable with telling us which area you are in, a MNer might be able to tell you about local support Smile
