Choking with a vari-flow teat :(

Heart in mouth moment and blind panic and then lots of tears as my LO (9 1/2 weeks) just had a 'proper' choking fit- blue tint, floppy etc after choking on his bottle. He is a real guzzler and easily finishes his bottle in 5-10 mins. I have always used a vari-flow teat (from 2 weeks old) and he has had the odd small choking fit. However, the older he gets the worse it seems to be getting :( Should I change to no.1 teats or get new vari-flow teats- can the teats I have have be no good?
Thanks for any advice.

You need to get this checked out really. It's probably nothing...it happened to my DD1 when she was very small...abot 4 days old and I know how scary it is. I actually called an ambulance though she stopped the blue thing and was breathing.

She was fine.

here is a link to another Mumsnet thread about a similar thing and the advice seems to be to get them checked over incase of tongue tie or other issues. Sorry you've had an awful scare. Brew
