DS is almost 4mo, and for the past few weeks has started to have extreme wind in the late evening hours through to early morning. He's not a fussy baby, and it's very clear to the ear that this is a wind issue, which has begun to completely disrupt his sleep - basically, his farts wake him up!

We've seen/been referred to paedeatric consultants for reflux (meds made the gas worse; second specialist didn't think this was a correct diagnosis anyway), piloric stenosis (scan ruled it out) and we've tried Infacol (no relief). Tried Colief a few times, but it is so ridiculously faffy for night feeds. Dairy allergies have been discussed, but he doesn't have other symptoms that would suggest this is what it is.

Calling out for collective MN wisdom...help us help our windy boy!

Forgot to mention - DS is primarily breastfed.

How often is he feeding at night? Is he sleeping with you or alone?

For the past 8 or 9 days he's been waking almost every hour, quite often I will let him feed back to sleep. We do mixed co-sleeping and have a co-sleeper cot. Normally he'll sleep at least half the night in the cot, moving into our bed around 3.00-4.00 (my laziness).

Now with all this wind I've kept him with me almost the whole night - feeding lying down on my side, I can him upright while we sleep as it seems to be the only comfortable position for him.
