Sore nipple at 5 months

Ds is 5 1/2 months and over the past week I've had a really sore nipple on the left side. Do you think it's a latch problem? We've never had problems with latch before.

Latch could be a bit off due to teething. I know ours is off for a couple if weeks when she's teething or a new tooth appears.

Thanks Mcbaby. I wonder why it wouldn't be the same on the other side though?

Go back to basics with the latch - nose to nipple etc. I have had soreness on and off (DD 7mo) and it's tended to just be poor latch I think.
