my DD has the tip of her first tooth showing, and when she's feeding I can feel a tiny sharp prick with each suck. Does this mean she's not latching properly with it? It isn't painful, just noticeable/slightly uncomfortable. There is still milk coming out.

Is it her bottom tooth? When she's properly latched on then her tongue will be covering her bottom gum so you shouldn't be able to feel it. IIf she stops feeding and starts fidgeting then you might feel it then. A lot of babies go through a phase like this, it's usually very short.

If you're feeling a sharp pain while she is feeding then it might be her latch. Many babies go through a short phase of finding it difficult or uncomfortable to feed when they are getting a new tooth.

There are some ideas here that might help you.
