Has anyone got this? It's designed to create the perfect temperature bottle in under 2 mins (whist killing all the bacteria) very tempted to get but would like to know other mumsnet thoughts before I rush out and spend that sort of money! Thanks

I've got one. Takes a bit longer than two mins though but I would really recommend it.

TheFalconsmistress · 08/05/2013 17:12

Im getting it as soon as I have the money Grin

Charrin10 · 08/05/2013 20:34

Thanks Jsa, did you have any trouble with measuring? One of the reviews on amazon said that it uses US oz's not UK which makes it slightly out? (I thought they would be the same tbh!) we currently use the tommee tippee bottles and measure the formula out in oz (1 scoop per oz)

Oops sorry just realised you have already answered this on another thread. Thanks x

I didn't realise there was a difference! It appears to be measuring correctly though

Charrin10 · 09/05/2013 08:55

Well I looked on amazon at 6am this morning and they had 11 in stock. Looked just now and they've only got 2! So quickly ordered one. Also signed up to the prime thing so got free next day delivery ( must cancel within the month though) can't wait to try it! I just hope it's as good as everyone says

Is there a difference with the measurements? I can't find another thread on it? I ordered it earlier! Xx

Charrin10 · 10/05/2013 19:21

Apparantly according to a review on amazon UK oz's and US oz's are different however I believe it is marginal. I use tommee tippee bottles anyway and measure in oz and I haven't had any problem with the measurements on it

Thanks for the response! I use NUK bottles and teats as that is all DS will have after having them in special care.

Will see how it goes when it arrives xx

Charrin10 · 11/05/2013 09:35

I was wrong... Tested it without the formula and it puts an extra 0.5 oz of water in :( typical their helpline is shut until Monday! He was grumpy all day yesterday as well so don't know If it was down to having extra water in his bottles! Back to the trusty kettle for now. I use the cow and gate formula, don't know if ill be able to get a US oz spoon. New it was too good to be true!

Trishstar · 11/05/2013 10:55

Glad I saw this before ours arrived and we started using it! Where can you get a US oz scoop? Xx

Charrin10 · 11/05/2013 12:36

No idea! I'm going to try and google it later and find out!

Charrin10 · 13/05/2013 10:35

Well I've just had a reply from Tommee Tippee, unfortunately I'm still at a loss on whether this is acceptable or not, any idea?? : With all measuring devices from bottles to measuring jugs, there is an accepted tolerance level.

The tolerance on the markings is +5ml below 100ml and +5% above 100ml. This is taken directly from BS-EN-14350. The differences you have seen are likely to be the ranges involved in these specifications.

The perfect prep machine will be dispensing the correct amount of water, however what you are seeing is the accepted tolerance level.

I hope that this puts your mind at rest with regards to the safety of the machine.

I don't understand that, am I being a bit thick?

Charrin10 · 13/05/2013 12:16

No I didn't either! I don't understand why they can't put things in plain English.. I also contacted amazon who are doing tests on the water levels in the machine so I'm going to wait until I hear from them (they seemed alot more helpful! ) I don't understand how measurements can be so difficult!

OP posts:
5318008 · 13/05/2013 12:23

and the machine is so so expensive, you would have thought they could at least make one that is ok to use in this country

I am so sorry, Charrin. But hey, you are GREAT, following this up with TT, and Amazon, go you [thumbs up]

5318008 · 13/05/2013 12:30

Would you come back and post an update on this thread, Charrin? If you remember, of course; you will be busy with your darling baby [heart]

Charrin10 · 13/05/2013 13:02

Of course :)

Thanks for posting back on here! Xx will keep checking!

Twinklestarstwinklestars · 13/05/2013 13:33

I've ordered on for dc3 due July, got £10 off too for doing the amazon family free trial, says it'll be here in 2-3 weeks, I've got mam bottles so hoping they fit!

Trishstar · 13/05/2013 14:14

TT emailed me back saying it measures in UK measurements so I'm confused now!

janey223 · 13/05/2013 14:16

If us measurements are 0.5ozmore isn't this like measuring in ml instead of oz?
