Hay fever or a cold?

I'm breast feeding my 3 week old and have started to get headache and completely bunged up, I used to get really bad hay fever but haven't for the last 4 yrs. I'm worried its a cold and my baby getting ill but if its hay fever what can I take? I've tried paracetamol but that's done nothing. Feeling really poo!!

You're baby probably won't get ill if you're breastfeeding. My lo has never caught anything I've had. Plus if he does catch a cold it would probably be much milder than your symptoms Smile .

If it's hay fever you can safely take nasal sprays and some antihistamines:

And yes, if it's a cold your baby will get your antibodies and should get a much milder dose, if anything at all.
