Temporary return to work affecting supply

I have to return to work full time (8.30 -5ish) for 7 weeks at start of June but will then be a SAHM. DS will be just over 8 months and I really don't want this to mean the end of breast feeding for us. Does anyone have any useful tips?

I've already started to build up a supply of expressed milk in the freezer, and have a medela swing I can use at work. I plan to feed him when I'm wth him 1st thing/after work. DS has a habit of not feeding on the few occasions I have left him in the past ( for up to 5/6 hours) but is getting increasingly confident with a cup so probably going to use that over a bottle? Also if anyone knows roughly what's a feed at this age (in oz/ml?) for how much a day I should be leaving.

no way it will be the end of BF, relax. Smile

by 8 months he'll be eating some food and drink water (or babyjuice?) too and the milk intake can vary depending on these factors plus his weight, appetite, sleep patterns and activity levels, but a pint a of milk (breast or formula or a mix ) per day is the recommended amount (that is 600ml-ish) which is roughly 7oz/200ml 3 times a day.

I think your plan is very good, I would have suggested the same about morning feed and as soon as you get back, express at work if you can and bf extra on your days off. you got it!
