Oh dear I think I've handled this badly

DS is 27 months and I'm 15 weeks pregnant.
He's been feeding in the morning, nap and night for ages (I've been doing don't offer never refuse for at least a year...) and just recently has been asking in the day and middle of the night as well.

I've made it through morning sickness and some slight pain on feeding, but these last few days feeding has been excruciating, back to the newborn days of saying ouch when he latches! My breasts are sore/feel bruised all the time too.

I fed him last night at bed time and it was so painful. So when he asked in the middle of the night I told him that the milk was gone as the new baby will need it :( He asked and asked then fell asleep. He asked this morning and I told him the same, and he asked and asked and then gave up.
Tbh it seems to be working but I feel really really bad about it :( It's so painful though and I'm really not enjoying it for the first time ever (discounting the first long months :o)

I think so. You have to think of yourself as well as him.
I encouraged Dd to stop at 15 nth when I got pregnant. My boobs have been so sore in both pregnancies I can't imagine trying to BF!

I suppose you don't want him blaming the new baby. You might be better off telling him he's a big boy now or even that you don't feel well so the milks dried up. Difficult.

Give him plenty of cuddles to reassure him, I'm sure he will be fine. Well done for feeding him for so long.

Well done but I do agree with ur instinct. Simply because i think instincts tell u how u truly feel some times.

Maybe it's time milk moved to bottle/cup or just water in night? And a big teddy for comfort?

I agree try not to blame the baby. Better to put a positive spin eg 'you are such a big boy now you don't need it'. Sometimes big siblings like to be babied a little so giving a cuddle and saying 'oh I remember when you were tiny new I used to hold you like this and...(insert fond memory)...' To reassure them.
