Health benefits of BF at 16 months and upwards

DD is 16 months. She is still breastfed twice a day. She will happily have cows milk during the day (including given by me) or if I am not around for her regular feeds.

I am deciding whether I want to give up now and there are various factors at play. But what I've not been able to easily find is info whether there are actual health benefits for DD of breastfeeding at this age and upwards as these would clearly be a factor in continuing. Can anyone point me to some info?

Yes, there are benefits- this is why the WHO recommends BF for at least 2 years. This is a really good summary of the benefits. You should do what's best for you and your family, that article might help you decide whether or not you want to carry on.

Thanks, that was just the sort of thing I was looking for.
