Breastfeeding mummy's - weight loss?

Hello, I am ebf my LO who is 16 weeks old. I love breastfeeding but would love some advice from previous mums......

I still have 10lbs to lose, I eat healthy and exercise regularly every day (20 min strength training in morning, 2x 40min walks throughout the day), but in not super human and i do have chocolate but in moderation, but gather I'm aloud this as I do 'push' myself when exercising.

I would like to know what you ate for you to lose your baby weight while breastfeeding, I'd ideally like to get back to my 8st pre preg weight, I am very fit pre, while, and post pregnancy and can't understand why it is so difficult.

Also I am worried that I may not be eating enough calories (I haven't found my hunger increase that much), has anyone found by upping their calorie intake found that they started losing? My average day would be porridge in the morning with blueberries, lunch is a sandwich and a yogurt and dinner is a very large green salad with tuna/chicken no fatty dressing, and like I said a bit of chocolate or a couple of biscuits. Weekends I do have a few more cakes.

Please don't think that I will give up breastfeeding, I love it and if my weight loss has to started once I have weaned, then so be it, but I would also like to loss something as my wedding is fast approaching!

Just one more question, did your little one get to a certain age and started drinking the weight off you?

I didn't lose a single pound til DS stopped bf at 16 months. It just been falling off since then, and I had been eating sensibly and keeping active since his birth

I put on 4st while pregnacy mainly due to SPD for last three months making me very immobile.

I lost a stone when she was born, one in following two weeks and a further 2.5 stone up to her now bing eight months.

I am so hungry all the time and eat lots including lots of cake! If I ate like this while not breastfeeding I would be putting on loads of weight!

I lost the most when my lo started to crawl as I was running after him all the time. This also coincided with giving up bread. I certainly don't alter my diet in anyway because I'm breastfeeding.

There's a saying about 'nine months on, nine months off' which I has some truth in it, I would say.

16 weeks is still pretty early - your body is still very much post-natal. I can't exactly remember, but I was definitely down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 8 stone by 6 months, but my body has never looked quite the same...

And have you considered that your boobs weigh more? I'm still above pre pregnancy weight but am happy that i'm in my Jeans and my tummy looks ok. But i'm 2 sizes bigger on to and its soley due to my chest which I assume can't go down until I stop bfing.

mrshoarder I nearly spat my tea out when I read about my boobs weighing heavier, I would have said yes a couple of weeks ago, but DS has completely deflated them in the last 2 weeks the amount he is on them! He's literally empties them every feed Hmm.

trying to think what I eat.
it's less now, but at the geiggt of feeding, I ate cereal or toast for breakfast, then a tunnock's teacake, then an english muffin, and possibly some fruit., then lunch (later) of a sandwich, then nothing until tea - nicee big fully balanced dinner, then cake and ice cream.
I definitely have carb/fat heavy food, but also lots of veg
