used farleys with Dd1 and she was fine.

make sure you are shaking the bottle/formula mix too much when mixing. Try swirling to mix it and having the water hotter at first to mix and allowing it to cool down to the right temperature.

Sorry... "not shaking...."

we use farleys with becky, and have had NO problems. SMA GOLD on the other hand..... dont get me started!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy- whats wrong with sma gold? i just wondered as my 4wk old dd2 is on it but has really bad rash/spots all over her face and i was wondering if it was the formula.

trinityrhino · 25/06/2006 19:10

my dd2 has a horrid rash of timyraised red spots on hr face at abbout 3 weeks and gp said it was just babies skin getting used to the outside world
not sure if that was what it was but....

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 25/06/2006 19:37

jess was on sma gold and she was so windy/sick/not happy.... was given all sorts from the doc to settle her down - nope, nothing worked, until we switched milk at 7 months old - it all stopped overnight.

Always swore never to give becky sma gold, put her on farleys and she has been fine - is now 8 months old and going well

Seona1973 · 25/06/2006 19:46

my dd was fine on sma gold and was on it until we switched to progress at 7 months (cos it was cheaper and on offer!). My sister and SIL also used it for thier children with no problems. Different formulas suit different babies though so you need to use trial and error to find the best ones for your lo.
