Bottles in dishwasher?

Anyone done it ? If so , do you put them in on their own or with your other dishes ?

I put them in the dishwasher - I have a little basket thing for the teats and lids (like this) and I put them in with all our dishes except if we have something like spag bol as it makes them go orange

I only started this when they were 12 months old though - I sterlised until then in a steam steriliser (and yes I know I am not supposed to give bottles after 12 months but I have twins so its a lot easier then trying to stop two beakers of milk being chucked around the place every night!)

Yep, I always wash them in the dishwasher (though they do now have an orange tinge, due to a tomato sauce incident!)
I sterilise them afterwards too, but only as DS is still just five months old. I won't bother in future.
I find it gets the milk residue out of the teats far better than washing them in the sink.

Ds is 5mo too so I was thinking I could put the bottles in the dishwasher after dinner then sterilise them as normal .

I have eczema and my hands are all cracked and bleeding from washing the bottles by hand

I have eczema on my hands too - that's one of the reasons my dishwasher is so invaluable!
Just pop the bottles in with all the usual dinner stuff, they'll be fine. Especially as you're sterilising them afterwards anyway.

could you not wear gloves to wash tge dishes?

Ok that basket is great for the teats etc, but how do you stop bottles and lids tipping over and fillingup?!

I always put bottles in the dishwasher and didn't bother sterilising. Dishwasher was hot enough.

Just don't put them in with dishes if you have had pasta with tomato sauce.
