5mo projectile vomiting - FF with SMA Gold

DS1 (5 months) has always brought up quite a bit of milk after feeds - sometimes a lot, resulting in me often being covered in milk! This hasn't really bothered me that much as he seems to be gaining weight nicely, is very happy, sleeps through the night etc. He is formula fed, on SMA gold, 5 x 8oz bottles a day.

But the last few weeks it has been bothering me a bit more as he always has quite dark green poo, and doesn't go every day. Sometimes he can not go for 2-3 days, but is generally ok when he does. Then today he has been projectile vomiting. Once about 3 hours after a feed, and then again straight after the next feed. The whole lot came up, with force. But he has been totally happy and smiley all day, and no other symptoms. Have just been reading about pyloric stenosis, and wondered if anyone had any ideas? Or could he just have a bug?

Hmmm he sounds too old and gaining too well for it to be undiagnosed ps. Sounds like low level reflux which is either worsening or it could be a bug.

Hi, there is a condition called pyloric stenosis where babies projectile vomit - this is worth getting checked out by a healthcare professional. If worried that DS is deteriorating take him to be seen quickly - hopefully you will be reassured not to worry but best to be safe. The best of luck.
