Just a quick one as I never take it, I have a killer back/pelvis thing and I know it will get worse when I go to sleep. So I'm just wondering if I can take panadol when bf. Youngest sleeps through now, so if I took it after ds last feed would it be o.k. TIA. :)

What's in panadol? I have been given ibuprofen , diclofenac and paracetamol when bf. codiene can be risky depending on how your body deals with it. I have taken it when feeding dd3 (toddler) but won't when feeding a newborn.

ABM has a helpline for medication & the lactmed app can be useful too

Paracetamol & ibuprofen are both compatible with bf, if its safe for you to take (some mums are allergic). The Breastfeeding Network has a drugs in breast milk online resource if you google it. Very useful pdf's of dif drugs, ie pain killers, antibiotics, hay fever tabs etc

That's what I meant not ABM Blush

Panadol is just paracetamol afaik, so is perfectly fine.

Thanks, very much. Great to have some resource tools to use, I had never heard of the breastfeeding network or ABM. Thanks again. :)
