Anyone else's breasts become ridiculously enormous??

I'm ebf my 6 wk old DD. Have fed previous DS and had same issue - my breasts become absolutely enormous. People (friends) comment on them and it's making me a little self conscious.
It's becoming more obvious now as the baby weight is slowly dropping away and I'm normally a size 8. My breasts have gone from a B cup to an F. Well, I'm bursting out of a F to be honest. It's uncomfortable not to wear a bra, they are so huge.
I just wanted to get that off my chest (no pun intended!)

Did they go back to normal once you'd fibished feeding your ds?? Mine are also normally a B-cup and I'm currently in a E-cup bra. It bothers me too. I'm hoping that once the bf is over they'll shrink!

I was, ahem, "curvy" to start with - an E or F cup. While ebf, I got up to 34J. I even had to wear a bra in bed until dd was 6 months and weaned. She's now 8 months old and my ginormous boobs have gone back to normal, thank the lord. People keep praising my "weight loss" which is nice, but I haven't really lost weight - I've just lost my big bosom! Hang in there, op, you'll get back to normal eventually!

Yes they went back to a B cup but they were definitely not what they were! I could pick them up and drop them into my bra, nice! Still, worth it (ahem)....

Mine never went back (though I weaned veeery slowly and was then pregnant again) - went from a B before DS1 to a DD and stayed there. No pre-pregnancy tops ever fitted me again. :(

That said, I was much bigger for the first few weeks with both boys, I think after about 12 weeks I settled down to the DD, so the OP may well shrink a bit in the next few weeks. Don't go buying loads of really expensive bras yet!

I am a FF when not pregnant and when I am breastfeeding they become titanic. I am only a size 10, so they look disproportionately large. Like PLANETS. The day my baby's head was bigger than one of my boobs was a happy one Grin

Was a 34B before pregnancy - went up to a FF (which was quite a novelty!) but back down to B cup after BF.

By the time I finished bf baby no 5 I was left a 36C...which is probably the extra stone I'm still carrying, TBH. But I don't mind it.

People often say they go down a bit when you wean... do you mean when you introduce solids, or when you stop bf?

Mine have only gone up 1-2 sizes so can't complain really, but we are now 6 months and I am on the verge on introducing food. No plans to stop bf though. If I bf till baby was 1 or 2 will they stay big? Sigh...

squidkid · 16/03/2013 17:18

I am also a size 10 with F boobs (normally DD which was fine) and just look stupid.

MrsVJDay · 16/03/2013 17:25

Oh God, you mean it gets worse? I've gone from a DD to an I already and haven't started bf-ing yet (39 + 3). Confused

I'm same b to f...hubby thinks it's torture as he loves to look but no touching (2weeks post forceps so he may be waiting some time!) ). they did go down a little towards end of bf ds but was pregnant whilst feeding so not much. tbh dreading what will be left when i finally finish the pregnant / breast feeding cycle!
