7 mo DD is still not feeding much at all , a little at 6.39-7 am again at 10.30 then 2pm then it's like a nursing strike until 9-10pm in worried this isn't enough milk and she isn't eating much solids , she won't be spoon fed and I refuse to let her loose on porridge and yoghurt and attempt to do it herself . Should I go straight to giving her formula? Although I feel she will refuse a bottle as she did the other night. This is stressing me out now constantly feeling I should be at home to try and get her to feed.

How is she in herself? Is she bright and alert? Is she growing and gaining weight? Are her centiles in proportion and s she meeting her milestones? If all this is ok I really don't think you need to worry.

Is she Avignon any feeds overnight too?

Oh and if you can tell her what her normal day s like, maybe we can tweak it for you Smile

Thank you for your reply. Yes she is very happy , healthy has 4 teeth, is crawling like a maniac and she had gained weight a couple of weeks ago , I wil get her weighed again next week. She does feed in the night I think about 3 times last night. Typical day is
6.30 feed and wake up
9-10 am try and feed sometimes takes a tiny bit some none at all. Offer toast, porridge, fruit for breakfast -usually takes two spoons of porridge then wants to play with it , she eats maybe half a finger of toast and a couple of orange slices.

12 -12.30pm feeds to sleep
1pm we usually don't do lunch as we are often out at groups but she may have a snack .
2pm try a feed again -this is also a bit of a battle
6pm dinner time -blw so has what we have a little goes in , yog or rice pud for after
7pm goes to bed -I'm at work
9-10pm feed
Then 3 times in the night feed
Doesn't sound very much but that's basically a typical day.

If she's feeding at 12-12.30 and then you are trying to feed her again at 2it could just be too soon. Does she have a snack in that time too?

It might be worth offering this feed a little later, say around 3 or 4.

It sounds she's doing really well and getting enough over a 24hour period although it does sound like she's doing a bit of [[http://kellymom.com/bf/normal/reverse-cycling/ reverse cycling].

I can't move it to 3 as I'm collecting the older ones from school and soon go back to work and will be starting at 4 although I am trying to see if a friend can collect the girls in the days I'm working so I can try and feed at 3.30 just before I leave for work .
