Going on holiday to stop bf 2 year old

My ds is nearly 2 and I am planning a holiday without him to stop breastfeeding him.

How long will I need to be away from him to have my milk completely dry up?

Is there any medication a gp can prescribe to hurry up this process?

Has anyone else done similar?

Op I am in the same situation as you and have considered the acne thing. Ds is 2.9 and fine when I am not there but the minute he sees me he screams the house down for boob. It is so hard and distractions do not work at all.

Fwiw my good friend gave up bf her 1 yo and within a week was dry.

I stopped bf 20mo DS on Christmas Day and still had milk in February. So it'd need to be some holiday. We were down to 2 feeds a day for months before stopping.
