Has anyone got any experience with this drug? I am on day 3 of taking it (side effects are horrible)
I am still making milk and feel dreadful. I have sore breast but not red or hot and I feel shivery and unwell. Could I have mastitis without it being hot and red?
Also how long will it take for the medicine to start working :(
Thanks in advance, it's been a week today that I have had pain :( feeling pretty fed up now

Why are you taking it? Have a look at www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk for their mastitis fact sheet - if you have suddenly stopped feeding you may well have mastitis. Take ibuprofen and paracetamol to alleviate the symptoms.

I have been trying to stop breastfeeding for 10 days to start meds on advice of my dr(prozac) & I keep getting full and very sore so been prescribed them to help stop milk production

Are you in the UK? How old is your baby? It is still possible to bf when taking antidepressants so don't feel that you have to stop bf if you don't want to.

Yes I am and I need to stop feeding it was wearing me out. He's my 3rd baby and I breastfed them all but finding it so hard and being poorly with pnd on top of looking after a 5 year old 3 year old and 5 month old. I can't do it anymore

I feel for you. I have no personal experience of that drug but my SIL was given a prescription drug to stop bf her 16 month old DS (in another country) and it had very little effect. She was still bursting and spraying a week later.
The older the baby the harder it is for bm to go away. How old is your DC? Perhaps the only safe way is the old one to drop a feed a week and do it very gradually.
Good luck Smile
