How many BFs does your 11-12minth old have a day?

DS seems to be refusing the boobs more and more, so I wondered how many feeds are standard at this age.

He's night weaned and eating three good meals a day. He currently has milk at 7, 10, 2 & 6. I offer in between but he often ends up biting me. Hmm

Mine was having 2 a day at that age, one in morning and one before bed. No idea what's 'normal' or if there is such a thing. I just went by what seemed right for both of us. If he's happy and healthy, don't worry!

My DD (12 months) feeds at 7 ish then about 2.30, then at 7pm before bed. She's started to bite sometimes during the afternoon feed so I don't know if she's trying to drop it!

Thanks for the replies, that's good to hear. He's dropped three feeds in a week or so and gas weight issues so I'm always worrying! Sounds like he's on track though, so all good Smile

About 4 at that age (first thing, before morning nap, before afternoon nap, bedtime) though sometimes the daytime ones were cups of cow's milk depending on what we were doing/if I was around.

Ds was having 2-4 a day but now has reverse cycled and wants more now along with 3 meals and lots of snacks.

I don't think there's a right or wrong amount generally, just what's right for each child.

pnin · 01/03/2013 19:51

At 12 months about 6-10 times. At 18 months 12-24 times. A little bit more than her sister but is teething

We co sleep so she feeds loads at night.

DS is 13 months and feeds at around 5 am then at 1 pm (when I pick up from nursery), once or twice more in the afternoon and then has a very long feed before bedtime around 7 pm.

My ds is 11 months next week and does exactly the same as you OP. This has reassured me no end as all the other babies I know are FF and only have 2-3 feeds a day. If I'm not around ds will happily miss the 11am and have lunch early but if I'm there he is climbing up my legs desperate for it!
