B/F and menstruation - is this normal?

my ds is 6 months (yesterday!) and is bf with one bottle of formula at night. I haven't had a period since he was born.. is this normal? Don't think I can be pg again as not much happening in the romance department since parenthood (and have used condoms on those rare occasions).

LOL eddm, has Celandine's thread got you wondering?

From what I've heard that sounds perfectly normal. Don't worry.

I didn't have a period for a year after DS1 and DS2, so I think your perfectly normal! I was BFing too, although by 6 months mine were having a bottle a day as well.

Quite normal, eddm, although it does vary from woman to woman(I know some 100% b/f mums whose periods came back within weeks of giving birth). Despite the fact that ds was mixed-fed from 8 months onwards my periods did not come back until he was 14 months old. It's the same this time with dd, currently 5.5 months old, and I'd be rather surprised if I was pregnant too...
