Vomiting BF mum

Hi all. I'm EBF DD2 who is 11 weeks. I have been vomiting all morning with the odd rushed trip to the loo and can't keep anything down, even water. DD2 will be ok if I keep feeding her won't she, even though I'm not drinking? I did feel bad earlier when I had to stop mid feed to be sick :-(.

She will be absolutely fine - your body will prioritise her.

In the meantime, though, look after yourself. As much fluid as you can tolerate, little and often, exceptional hand hygiene, etc.

Get well soon. Will you get the chance to go back to bed?

Poor you Sad bfing when you are sick is really the pits.

She will be fine, she will continue to get everything she needs but to your detriment - you may get dehydrated very quickly, so try to sip water as often as possible.

Hope it passes quickly for you Thanks

That is, she and you will both be fine for a short time. When you say you can't keep water down, how much are you trying? Slightly less than a mouthful at a time is easier than a big glug.

Trying very little sips through a straw but no luck.

In bed as told DH I couldn't look after 22month DD1 as well when like this so he's stayed at home.

Thank you all for your replies.
