DS started biting - what can I do?

Sure this has been done before but haven't found thread in archives. Was spoilt by dd who never bit me even when her teeth came through. ds now 7 months and has two very sharp teeth and has started to bite and pull back when he's frustrated at slow let down (usually early am feed) or when he's fussing. He has a cold at the moment and can be a bit frenzied. I now have actual puncture wounds in my nipple, have been bleeding and obviously this HURTS!
ANy advice on how to deal with a little nipper?
TIA

What I did was that if DS bit I'd take him off the breast, say very firmly "No biting" and wait 30 seconds or so before latching him back on. It took a couple of weeks but he caught on and stopped biting.

Another suggestion in your particular circumstances -- until he's learned not to bite, could you pump a little before the early am feed so that he gets a faster let down and doesn't get so frustrated? I'm concerned for your poor nipples...

Agree - Loud yelp - NO! - take him off quick (finger in his mouth to break the latch) wait for a slow count of 10 then try again (finger at the ready to take him straight off again if need be).
