Underwire?

At what stage of pregnancy do I need to ditch the underwired bras? And does it really make a difference to a successful breastfeeding experience?

You don't, and it won't.

disclaimer: you must be sure that your underwired bra is properly fitting and does not put any pressure on breast tissue

I wore an underwired bra all the way through pregnancy, and am now wearing one again for breastfeeding (not all the time, and they are normal underwired bras that I have converted). I wore only soft cup for 3 months because they are more suitable when breast size is fluctuating massively.

I ditched the underwire all pregnancy and for the first few months of bf then cracked and bought a Cake underwired one at six months. Wished I'd done it months before - cheered me right up!

I only wore soft cut for the first 12 weeks my Ds was born as my boob size was all over the place. I'm back in wires now and wore wires all through pregnancy. I got measured in Bravissimo when I felt like they had gotten bigger
