Feeding at home/when out

First time mum. Am finding that if I go out baby goes off to sleep well, has longer intervals between feeds & gene really seems easier to manage. If I stay home all day (which I am doing today as weather awful & we both have colds) baby feeds on and off won't go to sleep easily, won't stay asleep for long. How is this possible? Anyway to transfer the out and about vibe to home? Baby 7 weeks now.

It could be a movement thing. Have you got a sling? That might help. Don't worry about creating 'bad habits' or any of that, there's no evidence that it does. Sleeping upright in a sling might help with your baby's cold too, it'll be easier for him/her to breath than it would be lying down.

I find this too - baby only naps properly during a long walk in the pram. If we're in all day she wakes up really quickly after nodding off, eventually gets grumpy. Baby is 14 weeks. Depends how big your house is - you could walk around with the pram? We don't have space to do this! Do you have a garden? The noise outdoors might be helping baby sleep too.

Sling is indeed good but I can't then sleep when she will only sleep in it! Have also had MIL present over last few days saying that i need to put her down. House not big enough for pushing a pram around and current blizzard conditions reduce the going out don't they!
