Increasing supply at nearly 4weeks after mixed feeding, possible?

I'm wondering if it's too late at this stage. I started mix feeding from the beginning I was unwell and needed to use formula initially. With previous dc i exclusively bf with an oversupply so I never thought I'd have this problem. There is a bit of milk during the day but it's clear it's reducing and there are less letdowns. I'm empty now and despite feeding all day yesterday and today there is no signs of it replenishing. Should I buy an express pump? Should I forget about top ups, although at this stage the baby would starve without the top up? I'm not sure if it's too late and I should resign to the fact that I'm drying out?

Cashew, perfectly possible to build up a supply again - check out relactation here on mumsnet or on the web. Call any of the bf helplines and speak to someone about it. A pump will help alongside frequent direct breastfeeding - don't stop formula cold turkey, as you will need to give your body time to catch up. Speak to hv about a plan to reduce it sensibly.

Oh thank you tiktok. So I'll order the pump. I didn't think my body would react in this way. There was no milk at all last night so I offered the formula the poor thing was starving by then!
