will the medela mini pump fit in most sterilisers? seems like a silly question, but dont want to buy a steriliser then find breast pump bits wont fit in it.....
which steriliser would you recommend? I think I want an electric one. Mothercare own one is reduced form £38 to £33..anyone have this one?

If I recall correctly you can't use a microwave sterliser for electric pumps.
I have the Avent steriliser - which it definitely fits. Don't know about the Mothercare one, but I'm sure someone on here must be able to help!

The Medella is very simple-far fewer fiddly bits than the Avent one.
Actually I used to just boil the parts when I needed to sterilise.

I had a cold water steriliser from boots, as I only needed it for breast pump and dummies etc. It all fit in there fine. You have to wait half an hour though

I have a tommee tippee electric steriliser and it fits in there. I bouht my steriliser at half price (£20) and it included bottles and I'm glad I didn't pay more. It beeps annoyingly when it's done and all in all, it hasn't had a huge amount of use. I used it daily until DS was 3 months and then less and less. It's not used at all now.

I've heard good things about microwave sterilisers though. They take up less room, cost less and can be used for cold water sterilisation too.

I used to put mine in an avent microwave sterliser fitted in no problems.
