Gosh I have just turned down a hen night with my 9 month old because she is too much of a nightmare and won't take a bottle!

I would start expressing now and daddy give a bottle once a day perhaps to get her used to it

How much you will need depends on how many feeds and how much she takes - having a bottle a day should help give you an idea of what this is, perhaps. You can always have a load in the freezer

Don't forget you will need to pump a lot during your hen night/day or your boobs will explode

Yup start expressing now, can't do any harm. And like mp says while you express get daddy to give the contents of one boob froma bottle while you express from the other. My DD was fine with this so hopefully yours will be. Have a fab time at the hen night Smile

Nervous about it all to be honest. Shes one of my best friends and everyone seems to be backing out & I couldn't do that to her. Plus I've had a year of not drinking and think clambering round trees in the day and greek food, plate smashing and retsina in the evening will be a hoot :o ! Will start expressing at the next feed !

Good on you. Important to be who you were before you became a mum. Important to have a wild night out and then come home having missed your baby but with the memory of a great night out. Hope the hangover doesn't hurt too much!
