I wonder if anyone can help me, my message is not about breastfeeding, although I have a 14 week old baby and love breastfeeding, the closeness it brings is so special and I intend to continue till he is 6 months.

My problem is moving, I am currenlty in Central London (Elephant & Castle)and have to move soon to a property that comes with my other halfs job in W10 (Maida Vale/Queens Park), can anyone help with some sort of baby group or how to meet other mums so I am not completely stranded where I don't know anyone.

Any suggestions would be great!

Your health Visitor should have lots of info on this. Is your hv any good?

She made an appointment to come and see me and never turned up, that was about 6 weeks ago

Oh dear, try ringing the doctor's surgery perhaps? I'm in the highlands so completely different up here but try NCT? Library?

To be honest, I don't even know how to get to my new house, let alone where the library or doctors suregery is. Once I get there and find my way about I will certainly go an have a look and a bit more seraching on the net

Try posting on here with a different title, I've seen lots of posts with areas as the heading. I only read this one as I'm a devoted breastfeeder! Good luck!

it's the online version of a magazine printed for parents of young kiddies in London - might be a good place to start. Also - some newsagents stock 'Angels and Urchins' - also a "what-to-do" type magazine - hope his helps.
