Here

"The results showed those who breastfed a child for at least 13 months were 63 per cent less likely to develop a tumour than those who did so for less than seven months."

"Mothers who had three children and breastfed for a total of 31 months or more were found to cut their chances of ovarian tumours by 91 percent."

Wow.

That's great. Hopefully more studies will get similar findings.

Wow thats an incredible finding. Wonder what the risk reduction is for 31 months with 2 dc... thats what were hoping to do... well actually 48 months.

Schooldidi · 13/01/2013 11:50

I've done 31 months in total (38 actually) between my 2dds but I wonder if this might help me persuade dp a third would be a good idea "it'll decrease my risk of cancer so surely it's worth it" (I'll ignore all the health risks involved in pg and birth)

3dcs so far, up to 40 months and one dc still to be born. Think I've done well!
