Can you take movicol while breast feeding?

Just that really.

I've been on movicol for several years and left a message with my drs today to ask if I can use it while bf. They've come back and said no.

I stopped using it when I got pregnant on the advice of one dr at my surgery. I was struggling on lactulose so went to see another dr who said I could take it and he didn't know why I was told to stop in the first place. I just wonder if this is the same situation.

Any drs out there who can advise me please?
TIA

I'd be really surprised if you can't. On my phone so can't link the search but Google breastfeeding network drugs helpline. Their very helpful pharmacist will be able to give you the definitive answer.

The BFN factsheet says Movicol is safe while BF. Maybe you could print it out and take it to your doctor.
