I have one good boob and one crap one.

I bf'd DD until she was 10mo. After initial struggles we got on ok with it, but right from the start it was clear that my left boob was producing more milk, and she was latching and feeding easier from that side. She took to solids eagerly, and as she started taking less milk, the difference in size became more obvious. I'd say it was at least a cup size, and noticable if I wore a skinny-fit t-shirt.

After I'd finished bf it did settle down and they returned to (more or less) the same size.

Now I am pg again and am back in maternity bras, but the left is already bigger. The bra fits on the left, but is still a bit roomy on the right, and it is getting noticable again.

I am not sure what I can do about it, if anything. I don't know why the right produces less milk, and if I should express on that side to try and boost production (once the baby is born, obviously). It got to the point where if we were out and about, I'd always feed from the left, as feeding from the right would result in struggling to latch, DD getting distressed at not getting enough milk, and therefore drawing attention with me waving my nipple around in public. I'd like to avoid that this time around. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Yes, I had the exact same thing. I never found a solution other than to feed from both sides while my DSs were little and then to let them feed exclusively from the left side as they got hungrier. I put a chicken filet in my bra on the right so I didn't look lopsided!

I think most people have a good one and a less good one. i did. My dd always preferred my left one which is about a cup size bigger.
you could try a different position. I used to trick mine by holding her in a rugby ball hold under my arm on the right side and resting her body on a pillow. it worked ;-)

Ah, that's interesting, I knew most people normally have one bigger but didn't know if it was common with bf to have one producing better.

I used the rugby ball hold for the first few weeks as it was the only way we could get a latch, but changed to standard position once we got the hang of it. It took us a long time before it got "easy", I remember reading that it would be a walk in the park by six weeks and it really wasn't. I never thought of using a different position on different sides.
