Omneo Comfort Question

Smudge73 · 15/04/2006 17:03

Hey, Have changed formulas to Omneo Comfort from Aptamil due to my little girl having terrible colic. It does seem to have done the trick, she is much happier, but she is taking much less of this formula. She used to take around 5oz every 4 hours, but has reduced down to 3ish. Anybody have any advice or experiences? Thanks, Sx

Posted on the other thread. I felt Omneo helped my DS2's colic too. If it has reduced the amount she drinks it might be an idea to get her weighed each week for a few weeks, if she's still gaining then go for it.

Remember, you know your child and what helps them best.

We have a 3 month old being fed on EBM and Omneo. She sometimes struggles with the Omneo - sometimes 5oz, last night a couple of feeds of just 2oz. It appears the feed is "thicker" than Aptamil. We are experimenting with the Avent Teat #3 and variflow, using #2 teat for EBM.

We've been quite pleased with the reation to Omneo, apart from the morning poo.

my son had horrendous colic and i asked hv if i should use omneo and she told me it was for 'sicky' babies who had reflux and the like.
i changed to cow and gate and that was an overnight improvement.
we were on aptamil too.

Our nearly 5 month old is now only taking 5oz, and when she started on Cow and Gate Premium at 4 months only took between 2 and 3 oz at a time. Give it time to build up, but dont forget, there's no such thing as an average baby. (this is what HV says too!)
