Morning all,

I'm due go out for the day, and am expressing like mad, but not a lot is coming out. I'm having to feed ds from a bottle as he is refusing the breast.
If I can't express, I'll need to give him formula. So do I pre prepare the formula in a bottle, and put it in a thermal bag, or is there another method I should use? I'm leaving in 45 mins, so need answers quite quickly, if possible, please?

TIA.

Can you get some ready made formula when you are out - its the simplest way to do it. Otherwise I used to prepare and keep in thermal bag but only if the DTs would need a feed within an hour, otherwise it wouldn't be the right temp and I dont think you're meant to keep it hanging around more than that.

Otherwise take powder with you and a thermos and make up when you need it.

Ready made carton.
Or, very frowned upon and against current guidelines, I make up the feed, rapidly cool under cold running water and keep in a cool bag with ice pack til It's needed then I warm it up in a beaker of boiling water.

Thank you! We going shopping, so have a sterilized bottle, and will buy a carton.
