mulled wine and BF - feel guilty

I have had a few glasses of mulled wine this evening and am cluster feeding DD, but she seems a little more lively than usual. Have I spiked her milk?!

Hi,

I was under the impression that alcohol doesn't accumulate in breast milk and that the levels in the milk are normally a little lower than what's in your blood stream, so I think it would take a serious amount of booze over a short period of time to really get in to the milk.
I've had the odd glass of wine (tis the season!) but too sleepy really to enjoy it!

If anything I would have thought that if your LO was getting any alcohol It would make her sleepy rather than lively?

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong though!

I thought the same as sleepy but am no expert. Most people warm mulled wine a bit too much and some alcohol burns off anyway, so hope you did that! Sounds yummy, I wouldn't worry if you're not doing it everyday :)

I wouldn't worry too much - as long as you're not drinking 18 cups of strong mulled wine every day!!

Thanks, no, it was just two small glasses and she's happily sleeping now. Phew!
