stop all milk at 8 months?

Hi - DD is nearly 8 months and has reflux, is allergic to milk, and has been on neocate (and losec) for 4 months. She started solids at 5 months and eats a lot and a good variety of food, but she is drinking less and less milk. The last few days I have tried to get more neocate into her but she seems to be more unsettled the more she drinks.

Has anyone got any advice on stopping all milk now and giving her water instead, and giving her calcium through green vegetables etc?

Thanks

Milk is their main source of nutrition up til age one so shouldn't be stopped. I would suggest repeat visit to gp maybe try a new milk ( possible they reformulated milk and it doesn't agree so much)

In mean time make milky food to
Make up shortful. I don't know what neocate cooks like but there's alwAys oatly or almond milk to bake a rice pudding with etc if it's not any good.

I'd go back too. I'm not trained but think that it's not just the calcium that is a concern, she needs the calories to help her grow.

great, thanks for your replies. Weight is not really an issue as she's a chunky monkey, but will ask more as to why babies need the milk in terms of nutrients, fat, whatever. She's only having 2 bottles a day now anyway (both at night) and can't have any other milk - tried normal, soy, lactose free, pepti junior, all which are no good due to her allergy. Thank you
