How can I stop the night feeds without waking everyone?

DD2 (8 mo) has recently started to wake in the night for breast feeds. She hasn't done this since she was 10 weeks old but was ill about a month ago and ended up in hospital which threw her routine out of the window.

She now won't drink milk during the day (from breast, bottle or cup) but wakes twice in the night wanting a feed. We've tried trying to pat her, change her nappy, given her water etc but she doesn't stop crying until I feed her. She goes straight back to sleep afterwards. Help! We've got people staying so can't leave her to cry.

She's eating normally and drinking water during the day, just not milk! Anyone got any ideas???

Don't you think she needs the feeds then? If that's the only milk she's having then she does, surely.
