My DS is nearly 8 months and is bf. No teeth yet but I think they're close!

Recently he's started munching on my nipples. Really hard! We are BLW and he munches on food in a similar way.

I wonder if it's teething or just confusing me with solid food.

I've tried taking him off immediately and saying no. It may work for that time but doesn't prevent a repeat.

Any tips?

Have you tried feeding lying down? When I had a the same problem at a similar age I rang the nct helpline and it was one of the things they suggested Smile

Only when he's struggling to sleep in the middle of the night. Thanks - I'll give it a go!

My 4 1/4 month old does this and it really hurts :(

My DD (now 5 months) did this about a month ago, made one of my nipples bleed, a few days later two teeth popped through! In the first couple of days she bit me twice but hasn't bitten me since.

Aha - Matriarch - I shall keep a keen eye out. I'm pretty sure they're close...
