Biting

DD (8 months) is not well, she's got a horrible cold and has had a chest infection. Before a feed I've been cleaning her nose with a nasal aspirator and saline spray but she keeps biting me, at every feed. It's as though she's struggling to latch?
It's made me yelp, which has made her cry, making me feel terrible.

Any advice?

Poor little girl and poor you. Have a look on kellymom biting or ring one of the helplines, have you got the numbers?

Hello, my dd started biting me and I just took her off and placed her in the middle of the bed. It upset her a bit but she only did twice more and then it stopped. She needs to learn it's not part of breast feeding. This may sound heartless but it's the quickest way to let them know that it's not ok.

PS just read the bit about her being poorly! Yes this does happen when mine is snotty sometimes but she doesn't clamp down. Hope it gets sorted soon :)
