Anyone else using Hipp first milk? I switched to this from c&g as DS seemed constipated but not keen on the advice to use 40-50 degree water as it won't sterilise the powder. I know I could just use 70 degree water as with other powders but presume this will kill the pre/probiotic benefits? Any thoughts?

There is a product helpline on the pack. Maybe phone and see what they say?

I use boiling water, as the powder is not sterile. I think it's better to nuke the bastards, then to risk LO getting ill.

Tiktok - good idea, i might do that. In meantime will use boiling water as with other brands.

I wasn't happy about the temperature thing either. And it made DD constipated. And the packaging annoyed me. So I switched back to Aptamil after a week.

I used boiling water and got on really well with Hipp. SMA made dd v constipated.

Radio 4's 'You and Yours' programme covered this not so long ago:

Sounds like 70 degrees would definitely be safer.
