DD 11.5 months is bf. She will be going to nursey in Jan at 12.5 months, when I return to work.

Does she need me to express or will she be ok on morning and evenings?

she'll be fine going without milk in the day

She feeds in the morning and evening, then as and when during the day, but only for minutes.

I'd just ask for her to be given cows milk in the day

Ok thanks.

I'm going through the same at the moment, breastfed 11.5m dd starting going to childminder 3 days. People told me she would be fine without and she was. Ok she is very keen to breastfeed as soon as we are home, but so am i. This week I took a few cartons of formula and asked cm to offer a cup of milk in the afternoon (doesn't take a bottle), she had a few sips but not bothered. Even if I expressed (which I'm not going to) I still think she wouldn't be keen. It's more cuddles and comfort than milk for her iyswim. Loves her solids so I'm just not going to worry. Once she's 12m I'll say to offer her cows milk (actually Hv said ok from 11.5). I was prepared for her to suddenly want to feed all night / reverse cycle, but actually I don't think there has been any change (she still wakes a fair amount).
