Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help my LO is 4 months old and is currently on 6 fl oz of milk 5 times a day. Which he will take fine at 4 hour intervals, but lately he has been sleeping longer which means his first morning feed is at 7 am and his bedtime feed has always been at 7 pm.
He's feeds before we're 4 am, 8 am, 12pm, 4 pm and 7 pm then bed. I can sometimes push the feeds to 3 hrs at certain times but he struggles and is sick. The milk says he needs five feeds a day and now he's 4 months he should soon be having 7 fl oz x 5.

I have to get 5 feeds into him within 12 hours no earlier then 3 hours apart ANY ADVICE?

Can you increase the volume of each feed?

I was thinking that but it would be just under 9 fl oz every 3 hours x 4 feeds a day. He is currently on 6fl oz is that a big increase?

The amounts on the pack are just guidelines, follow your own baby's cues. If he's struggling when you're trying to get more into him then leave it.

Can you ask your health visitor for advice? Every baby is different.

My daughter never had more than 5oz every 3 hours. Now at 6 months with solids my son has a variety of bottles from 5oz to 8oz. Raise every feed by 1 oz and see how it goes. Ignore the packet-they don't know your son.
